In any case there is no question of forced mono-national state, it is about freedom of choice only.
Belonging to a nation - a free self-determination. At the moment there is not such opportunity! :(
I support the idea to include a European nation as a separate item at the next census in all Member States of the European Union. :)
Creating a state based on mono-nationality or mono-religion is unacceptable and contradicts to "European values". Of course, when the formation made out as a full-fledged state, I would be happy to participate in the referendum on the adoption of a single nation :D , but I am afraid this is an utopia. In Europe are too strong traditions and had been an experience with multinational empires.
The transparency of the state system is a separate issue...
