The jawless, spineless hagfish is a primitive creature that lives at the bottom of the ocean and dates back as far as 500 million years - but it exudes a very special slime, which could provide the clothing of the future.

Researchers from the University of California at Los Angeles (University of California) learned to determine a person's age to within five years only on the basis of a sample of saliva (http://www.popsci.com/science/article/2011-06/saliva-science-new-forensics-tool-can-determine-age-suspects-spit). The method relies on a process called methylation - a chemical change in one of the four components of human DNA. This process is due to the aging of the body and the effects of age-related diseases.
??? ;) Biology will probably always surprise! :D
